Noc Gastronomie – 30th May, 2012

We would like to invite you toa Night of Gastronomy in Leporelo+ restaurant in Brno. You will have the chance to taste some delicious wines from the edge of the Winemaking world, the 49th Parallel. Come and try the wines of the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. The tasting is presented by Australian Winemaker, Mike Mazey, in English, with a translation from Mr Petr Očenášek. As we promised, we have made some changes based on your recommendations and we will let you know about these at the end of the tasting.

When will it be?

The tasting will be on Wednesday 30 th May at 19:00, but you can come a little earlier and taste your welcome drink, which will be the 2011 Welsch Riesling from producer Filip Mlynek, pozdni sber, Palava.

Where will it be?

Leporelo+ restaurant is located in the House of Arts or Dum Umeni at Malinovského náměstí, in the center of Brno.

Love a good bbq? Do you love wine? Do you love Thai food? Get all 3 at Sabaidy Restaurant, Brno on Tuesday, 6th September.

We will taste 4 Thai bbq courses along with specially matched Moravian, German and Austrian wines. We will feature the wines of Filip Mlyn of Volarik winery, who was recently voted as Czech Winemaker of the Year, 2011. In addition, we will try the wines of Mosel Valley, Germany, famous for its Rieslings along with Wachau, Austria, famous for its Gruner Veltliners.

Have you ever wondered what makes the sparkling wines of Champagne so special? Come and taste the difference for yourself at the International Sparkling Wine Challenge. As well as the Pierrel Brut Champagne, you will also get to try Australia’s iconic Sparkling Shiraz from Schild Estate of Barossa Valley, South Australia as well as other famous international sparkling styles such as Moscato d’Asti, Lambrusco, Prosecco, Moravian Sekt and many more. This event will be held in English and in Czech on Friday, the 18th June, 2010 as well as in English again on Monday, 21st June 2010.
